(i) In the given figure (i),

∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

(Sum of angles of a triangle)

⇒ 5x° + 4x° + x° = 180°

⇒ 10x° = 180°   ⇒ x = 180°/10 = 18°

∴ ∠A = 5x° = 5 × 18° = 90°

∠B = 4x = 4 × 18° = 72°

And ∠C = x = 18°

(ii) In figure (ii),

∠A +∠B + ∠C = 180°

⇒ x° + 2X° + 2X° = 180°

⇒ 5x° = 180° ⇒ x° = 180°/5 = 36°

∴ ∠A = x° = 36°

∠B = 2x° = 2 × 36° = 72°

and ∠C = 2x° = 2 × 36° =  72°
