Solve and graph the solution set on a number line:

(x/2) > -1 + (3x/4); x ∈ N

(x/2) > -1 + (3x/4)

⇒ (x/2) × 4 > -1 × 4 + (3x/4) × 4

(Multiplying both sides by 4)

⇒ 2x > -4 + 3x

⇒ 2x – 2x > -4 + 3x – 2x

(Subtracting 2x from both sides)

⇒ 0 > -4 + x

⇒ 0 + 4 > -4 + 4 + x (Adding 4 to both sides)

⇒ 4 > x

∴ The required graph is :
