=168×2/5
336/5
67.2
Therefore real cost =168-67.2
                    =100.8ruppes

LET THE ORIGINAL VALUE BE X.

PROFIT:-40%

SELLING PRICE:-168

ORIGINAL VALUE=X+X*40*=168

X+X*40/100=168

X+X*4/10=168

X+X*4=168*10

X+4X=1680

5X=1680

X=1680/5

X=336
